Ethnê Information Strategy Group

The Ethnê Information Strategy Group is working together internationally to collect, coordinate, and disseminate the most accurate, up-to-date information about the least reached peoples, hard-to-reach populations, and the needs of the Church.

We seek to understand these least reached communities, who and where they are, and how to most effectively see God’s Kingdom coming in their midst.

As a strategy group, we places a high value on hearing from church leaders regarding their specific needs for church planting among Least Reached Peoples. We serve the other strategy groups as well as to the multi-lingual Global Body of Christ.

What We Did:

•We learned about the existing global databases

•We looked at case studies of interesting information gathering projects and discussed them, including one case study of how information directly fed into church planting

•We listened to each other’s greatest challenges and took these concerns to a panel of our members

•We agreed upon our vision statement and chose a new steering committee

What We Will Do:

•We will develop a secure, web-based collaboration tool to promote on-going learning and information sharing

•We will identify and articulate our core values, including our eagerness to listen to local church leaders and our posture as servants to the other strategy groups

•We will promote the constant coordination and updating of the various existing databases
