• Of the 16,595 total people groups, 6,864 are identified as Least-Reached using Joshua Project criteria, totaling 2,771,999,000 individuals. Of these 6,864 groups, 5,903 are in 10/40 Window countries. That means 86% of all unreached people groups are in the 10/40 Window.

• 961 of the Least-Reached groups are NOT in the 10/40 Window, totaling 79,110,000 individuals. These groups are relatively accessible to the Good News of the Gospel.

• Of the 6,864 Least-Reached people groups, about 3,548 (52%) are small groups under 10,000 in population (or population unknown) and all these groups total less than 8,000,000 individuals. Of the remaining 3,316 least-reached groups, about 1,329 are under 50,000 in population. That leaves 1,987 Least-Reached groups 50,000 and over in population. Dear Ethne Partners:

Well, I woke in the Central USA to the CNN news broadcasting the massive 8.9
earthquake hitting Japan; tsunami hitting Hawaii now, and W coast expecting
waves in next hour. We just were with friends working in Japan-no idea if
anyone is affected!! 200-300 bodies have already been found-2,000 people
expected to be evacuated from an area surrounding a Japanese nuclear plant
because of safety concerns. Economic impacts expected as Japan is the
world’s third largest economy-stock markets are already tumbling in Asia and
Europe. Please be praying..

They are calling it the fifth most powerful earthquake in history since
1900. Cameras were rolling as the ground started shaking and even the
Japanese who regularly experience strong earthquakes were shocked at the
strength of the shaking!

Pray:

. Pray for all those in Japan to have presence of mind, and for
those who are believers to rise to the occasion with the power of the Holy
Spirit to meet the needs as He directs them.

. Pray for the Church to unite to reach out to help in the
aftermath-pray for wise response, order and resources applied appropriately.

. Pray for the global Church to wake up to the need to be prepared
in order to be His hands and feet in these situations as they begin to
unfold so quickly around the world.

. Pray for God’s mercy in judgment-that there will be more than
enough messengers of the gospel in every place to share the good news of His
mercy and grace to those who do not yet know Him! There are still about 1 in
4 around the world who have little access to the gospel-pray for the Lord of
the Harvest to thrust forth more than enough laborers!!

Pray for them to rise above their own concerns and be filled with the love of God for those without hope in this world and apart from eternal salvation. Pray for God’s peace to keep their hearts and minds quiet and at rest in Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit to empower them to do what they can to be His hands and feet in this lost and dying world. Pray especially for areas such as Turkey and the Arab world nations to have more than enough believers that can give an answer for the hope within them in such turbulent situations! The world needs us now to allow our lights to shine brightly, even in the midst of chaos and confusion-especially there!!

Floods in Thailand

Bangkok, Thailand (CNN) — Floodwaters in Bangkok have reached Don Muang Airport, one of the Thai capital’s two main airports and home to the flood relief operation command, which may have to move to another location, according to the governor.

In addition to Don Muang, residents in five other areas should prepare for floods, move their belongings to upper floors and take shelter at evacuation centers.

Pray for:

God’s mercy and supernatural favor – to stop and clear the flood and for the safety and comfort for the victims and to SAVE the people of  Thailand.

The brothers and sisters in Christ, Churches and Missionaries in Thailand so that they be the hands and feet of Jesus to those in need.

Earthquake in Turkey

Turkey – Using heavy machinery and their bare hands, rescue workers scrambled through piles of rubble to find survivors on Monday after a deadly 7.2 magnitude earthquake devastated parts of eastern Turkey.

As of Monday morning, there were as many as 264 fatalities, and 1,300 injuries. 970 buildings also collapsed, some of them apartment buildings.

Pray for:

- Those who lost loved ones and possessions in the quake

- The missions- and aid workers who are bringing comfort and care to the victims

- The Church in Turkey to grow through this disaster by being the distribution points for supplies and workers

- The Believers to use this opportunity to bring the Gospel to those who have yet to hear
